Description

The Programme Planning, Strategy and Management Coordination Office is a cross-cutting office supporting the CSC , as well as the Directorate's departments and offices.
The D/CSC portfolio of activities is growing and includes the ARTES 4.0 Programme, the ESA Programme related to EU Secure Connectivity, the Moonlight Programme and the Civil Security from Space Programme, as well as part of a national PRR project. One of the main objectives of these programmes is to support innovation to boost the competitiveness of European industry in the global space market.
We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated Programme Coordinator with expertise in satellite communications to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in the planning and coordination of the Directorate's activities.

Duties

Providing cross-cutting services to the entire Directorate, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• drafting comprehensive documents and presentations relating to the planning and execution of CSC programmes, encompassing programme proposals and implementation plans;
• coordinating and providing support for reflection exercises aimed at evolving programmes effectively;
• coordinating ARTES 4.0 advisory committees, focusing on addressing Strategic Programme Lines;
• taking charge of preparing and enhancing strategic management processes within the Directorate;
• effectively supporting the stakeholder management process, particularly with ESA Member States, contributing to the successful preparation of CM25;
• organising and preparing bilateral meetings at director level and facilitating ESA management's participation in various meetings as required;
• coordinating CSC contributions to the Agency's cross-cutting activities, including participation in inter-directorate working groups;
• cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
• resolving conflicts and challenges in a constructive and diplomatic manner.

While you will not be directly responsible for contract implementation in the programmes, you will engage in continuous interaction, fostering non-hierarchical collaboration with staff across all CSC departments and offices, other ESA directorates and the broader CSC community.

Technical competencies

Good knowledge of satellite communication systems and technologies

Good knowledge of industry developments and emerging trends in satellite communication

Stakeholder management and specific knowledge of CSC interfaces

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Good knowledge of and an interest in digital management tools

Education

A master's degree in engineering is required for this post.
